Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah– Ouarzazte – Dades valley
After breakfast in your riad or hotel, we start our journey from Marrakech to Dades Valley. We will pick you up at 8:00 am and drive through the Haouze plateau towards the High Atlas Mountains; we will pass through Tizi n’Tichka pass that reaches an altitude of 2260m, where we will stop to enjoy the spectacular scenery of the mountains.
Read MoreThen we drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah which recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site, and used as a film set for many international movies including: “Gladiator”, “Kingdom of Heaven” and parts of the TV show “Game of Thrones”.
After we visit the Kasbah we continue our way to enjoy the monuments of Ouarzazate city known as the Hollywood of Africa, and then we will pass through Skoura oases and Kalaat Mgouna which known for the pink roses during Spring. Our final stop for the day will be in Dades Valley where we will stay overnight in a hotel including dinner and breakfast.
Day 2 : Dades Valley- Merzouga via Todra Gorge
From Dades Valley we head to Merzouga desert which contains the most attractive sand dunes in Morocco. Driving to Tinghir town in order to visit Todra Gorge the most impressive canyon in southern Morocco, here we walk between the 300m high cliffs enjoying the beauty of this magical landscapes.
Read MoreWe leave Todra Gorge passing through many Berber villages such as Tinjdad and Touroug where we can stop for lunch, and then we make our way to Merzouga desert. Our journey will not finish here, after a glass of tea in a hotel, you will ride the camels to spend the night in a Berber camp which contains several traditional and comfortable tents.
The camel guide will take you in 1 hr camel trek over the Erg sand dunes in order to feel the spirit of the Berber nomadic lifestyle. After dinner in the camp we gather round the campfire and enjoy the Berber traditional music under the stars.
Day 3: Merzouga – Ouarzazate
Before sunrise, you will be woken up to enjoy the fantastic scenery of the Sahara desert as it gets the sunlight, we will then have breakfast and start our journey to Ouarzazate. Driving to Rissani which was a stopping point of the trans-Saharan caravan routs, and now it’s famous for its largest traditional market in the south of Morocco.
Read MoreAfter that we pass through Berber towns of Alnif, Tazzarine and Nkob, where we will have lanch then we drive alongside the Draa Valley to Agdez where we enjoy a panoramic view of the palm groves within the Valley. Crossing the Anti Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazat where we will spend the night in a riad/hotel.
Day 4: Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will drive back to Marrakech, passing through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains where we stop to visit Argan cooperative.
We will arrive Marrakech late afternoon and our journey ends when you reach your accommodation.
